I’m about half way through The Girl on The Train and I’m really hooked. I’ve hardly had any time to pick it up over the last few days so I’m hoping to get a chance to finish it at the weekend.

Watched

Unlike my children I don’t really watch much on YouTube.. my exception to this however is The Michalaks (formerly Hannah Maggs). I blame Lucy and Katie entirely for introducing me to their videos while we are Center Parcs earlier this year. I don’t know what it is about them but every Sunday or Monday I find myself checking in with their weekly vlog. The editing is big part of it I think, it is so beautifully done and the shots they get are fantastic. If the comments on their videos are anything to go by I am considerably older than much of their fanbase (!!), but yet I just can’t stop watching! Anyone else?

We are still hooked on Sons of Anarchy, which is pretty lucky really as everything on ordinary TV seems to be pretty rubbish at the moment, we don’t seem to really be watching anything else. Well apart from The Affair, that in my opinion had a very unsatisfactory ending.

It was N’s Sports Day this week too, so both the mister and I pitched up to watch it and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately I have no photos to share as I didn’t manage to get one without any other children in it.

Wore

The girls were sent some school uniform from Matalan this week and E was particularly excited to try it all on. I just can’t get over how old she looks in it, it’s as if she should already be at school. She’s not going to be one of those tiny ones that just look too little for school when September rolls around.

I’ll be sharing more photos and my tops tips for preparing your child for school in the next few days.

Today is World Vision’s Floral Friday so I’m rocking some floral prints and will be sharing photos on social media through out the day. Watch this video for much info on the campaign and how it will help. World Vision is a charity really close to my heart so I’m really happy to be one of their bloggers.

Heard

I watched the last episode of the E4 series My Mad Fat Diary this week and it ended with the cast singing Lucky Man, by The Verve. What a tune! The 90s had such a lot of great music didn’t it? Well, if you discount most of the pop!

The Cardigan’s also featured and reminded me how much I loved them as a teen, definitely need to revisit their music.

Made

I’ve made a couple of things this week, I know, get me!

I made a big batch of chocolate chip cookies, which I scoffed rather a lot of so there goes the diet! I did’t get any arty photos of them but the pic above contains one of them, and you can find the super easy recipe here. I also made some ‘ice cream’, basically I froze two bananas chopped into chunks and then blasted them in the Nutribullet with strawberries. I poured the mixture back into the container and popped it back into the freezer. I guess it’s technically a sorbet but having the banana it in makes it taste lovely and creamy.

and lastly..

It’s been a funny old week for me. A few of you might have seen on Facebook that someone has created a fake account using one of my photos. I’m so thankful to the person who found it and told me about it. Unfortunately even after multiple people complaining to Facebook about it, it’s still there and Facebook don’t seem to be doing anything about it even though the photo contains my children. It could be worse, at least the profile has nothing else on it, they’ve not pretended to be me or anything.. in the words of Swifty I guess I have to…
