Sunshine, Glastonbury and getting stuff done! #littleloves

Wow! What a scorcher of a week! Hope you’ve enjoyed it and managed to stay cool. I honestly cannot believe how fast this week has zoomed by!

Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!

Read

I’ve dug out one of my favourite books to re-read for the gazillionth time – The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. It’s a beautiful gem of a book that gives me something new each time I read it.

I’ve also finally got my hands of The Girl on The Train, so I’ll be splitting my time between both I think.

Watched

I surprised the girls with a trip to see the Minion Movie at the weekend. They LOVED it, but more about that in another post.

I also went to see SPY with a friend on Wednesday night, it was so good to get out and spend some time together. We even managed a little catch up with a drink before we went in. I did enjoy the film, everyone in it is fantastic, from Melissa MacCarthy to Jason Statham, Jude Law, Peter Serafinowicz and of course Miranda! I’m not raving about it though, I can’t put my finger on why but for some reason I didn’t love it.

Wore

I actually wore shorts in public this week! Now I NEVER get my legs out but it was just too hot not to the other day. I made sure I put some fake tan on though!

Heard

I’ve been loving enjoying Glastonbury from the comfort of my own home, I know it’s not the same as actually being there but I’m more than happy to compromise!

Here are some that I particularly loved..

I’ve loved Death Cab for years now and would love to see them live again.

How awesome was Mary J Blige? I find her so inspiring.

I adore Lianne’s voice and her music is often playing in my kitchen and I’ll have a little singalong while cooking!

Alt-J are such an under-rated band in my eyes and I really hope to catch them live soon.

This is one of my all time favourite songs – so beautiful

Yes! Loved The Maccabees set.

Made

I’ve not made a thing this week!

Noo has been hard at work designing her entry for the #CurtainCreative competition, you can read more about it here.

We ‘made’ the most of the weather though and spent plenty of time in the sun this week.

and lastly..

I’ve a bit of an up and down week mood wise, sometimes it feels like I’m failing at everything and should just pack up and get a ‘real’ job. I know feeling like this at times is completely normal, but it can be tough when your work relies completely on you and your own motivation, no one else can pick up the slack! I’ve picked myself up and given myself a good talking to and like the stubborn girl I am I’m digging my heels in and carrying on!
