We’re on holiday this week in the New Forest, staying with the mister’s parents. We love coming down here, it’s one of my favourite parts of the country for sure. The novelty of walking out of the front door to be greeted my ponies and cows never gets old. Unfortunately the weather just hasn’t been good enough while we’ve been here to make a trip to the beach very worth while. Fingers crossed it brightens up before we leave.
Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!
Read
I picked up Amy Poeler’s book in Waterstones this week. I’ve only just started it but I’m enjoying it just as much as I thought I would.
It’s super funny and something I can dip in and out of which is perfect for me at the moment.
Watched
We’ve watched very little television this week, but we did start watching Game of Thrones all over again! My inlaws have the boxset but hadn’t started watching any yet so after a little coaxing from us we put it on and worked our way through the first few episodes. It’s so strange to see characters that are no longer in it and I love seeing how all the surviving characters have developed. I’d forgotten how timid and young Dani was at the start.
Of course I’ve adored watching the girls play with their cousins this week. We waved goodbye to the mister, his two brothers, brother in law and dad on Saturday morning as they ventured off on a cycling trip.
While they embarked on a male bonding weekend we were left with this crazy bunch..
We had a tiring but lovely weekend playing in the garden, and jumping around on a bouncy castle that we hired to help make the weekend go a little smoother! A trip to the Dorset Heavy Horse centre (such a strange name!) went down a treat with all of us. It’s a little rough around the edges but just perfect for adventurous kiddos and I learnt loads from some of the talks.
Noo got to have a go at driving a tractor!
We all fell in love with this gorgeous white horse
They even had little pony and cart rides
Wore
I’m well aware that this has become quite a weak section recently, unlike Em and KA and so many of you that totally rock it! I’m not very good at remembering to take photos of my outfits, to be honest just picture me in black and you’ve got it!
Heard
It’s been none stop Swifty in our car this week.
N really struggled with the last day of holiday club last Friday and I bribed her with the promise of the 1989 album if she stayed all day (!) Basically I think she was so tired out from a week of sports and games, however she soon calmed down and joined in after I eventually got to leave.
I had no idea that she’d collaborated with Imogen Heap on one of the tracks. I went through such an Imogen obsession a few years ago and really must dig out her music. Unfortunately I can’t share the track as it isn’t a single and Taylor is so strict with her music that the song isn’t available anywhere other than on the album. So here’s an Imogen Heap track instead.
Made
Umm.. I’ve not made a thing this week! I can’t even think of anything that I can twist to fit into this category! How about we ‘made’ the trip over to visit one of my best friends. She has two girls so my girlies had a wonderful time with hers, lots of nail varnish and fake tattoos!
and lastly..
We’re off to London for the day today and will be doing all those cliche tourist things that despite going to London loads I’ve still never done! It will be nice to go as a family as the mister and I often head down separately for work.
While I’m away my online store Little and Fierce is still open but there is a delay in shipping and all orders will be posted when I’m back on Monday 24th. To make up for the delay I’ve got a 10% off code – just enter FIERCEKIDS when you reach the checkout.
Have a lovely weekend!
