I had a working week this week while the girls had a whale of a time at a local holiday club. I have so much to do, and feel that I’ve only scratched the surface of it. Oh well, only 2 weeks and I’ll be back to getting on with it all full time. It’s quick tricky this running a business thing!
Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!
Read
I finished reading Arlington Road and have yet to start another book, but I’ve picked up a few from our local charity bookshop ready to read while we’re away next week.
Really enjoyed this blog post by Lauren Laverne The Pool – How having children made me better at work I honestly couldn’t agree more with what she’s saying.
Watched
I’m not massively into vlogs, I do enjoy it when I watch them but I guess I just don’t make enough time to do it. I did, however, catch Katie’s (Mummy, Daddy, Me) week in our lives vlog and loved it. E and I enjoy watching Katie’s videos together as she loves Katie’s girls – not that she’s ever met them!
Katie is making one of these each month, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
Now that we have the internet back I’m indulging in my Pretty Little Liars obsession again. I’m aware that the identity of A has finally been revealed but please DON’T TELL ME ANYTHING as I’m still on season 4!
The mister and I discovered Wet Hot American Summer on Netflix and it is hilarious! So good to watch if you’re not up for something serious that you really need to pay attention to.
Wore
We had a little sunshine over the weekend, hurrah! It didn’t stick around, but one day is better than nothing! We spent the day at a local food festival and of course indulged in some very yummy food while we there, obvs.
It was so nice to be able to wear summery clothes again.
Heard
This week I’ve been loving the Maccabees new album! It’s been on in the background for much of my week while I’ve been working away on the computer.
The girls however have been loving Little Mix, particularly this song,
I don’t particularly like the video, but then again I’m probably not their target demographic! haha
Made
Last week we made Marshmallow Pops and I’ve shared how we made them – they are so fun and really easy. This make was part of a campaign by Harvey’s Furniture, as they’ve put together a fantastic summer arts and crafts workbook and it features some things that we’ve made, like our den and these cress heads.
The workbook is free to download and there’s even an opportunity to win a yummy prize!
and lastly..
We’re off down to the inlaws for the week and I for one cannot wait for the break. It will be lovely to spend time as a family, let’s just hope the weather is good so we can get a beach trip in.
Have a lovely weekend!
