Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!
Read
I’ve not had much opportunity to pick up a book this week, so unfortunately I’ve only managed to read a couple of pages of To Kill a Mockingbird.
N’s school report came home this week, so of course I read that! I will say that I was so proud of her when I read how much she’s progressed and achieved this year. I loathe seeing school reports pasted all over social media… but.. I do want to take the moment to have a little boast here (#sorrynotsorry) she got Level 3 for everything in her year 2 SATS. That may mean little to you, it didn’t mean much to me until I read up on it, but I am really pleased for her. I’m not one for gushy, soppy posts and I worry that a lot about N on this blog has been how we struggled with her behaviour, so N if you read this in the future please know that we love you and will always be proud of you no matter what.
Watched
After a few people have recommended it I’ve ended up moving onto Pretty Little Liars on Netflix. It is just what I need right now, something that I can enjoy but doesn’t involve much concentration or brain power!
Wore
N finished school on Wednesday while E still had one more day to go at preschool, so to celebrate the end of term and having such a fantastic report we took N out for lunch while E was at nursery. We don’t often get time with just one child so we wanted to snap up the opportunity and really give N some quality time. She chose to go to Turtle Bay so we made a little effort with our clothes!
Heard
I shared Alessia Cara’s cover of Bad Blood last week and since then I’ve been a bit obsessed with her, so here is a live version of her current song Here
I’ve also been enjoying Foals’ set at Maida Vale that they did for Annie Mac on Radio 1. Unfortunately the video of it is unavailable, boo, but here is a link to the audio- Foals . It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan.
Made
We built a den! This is for a project we’re doing with a company over the summer holidays so I can’t share any more at the moment but stay tuned… *winks and taps nose*
I painted our outside furniture over the weekend (and wrecked my back in the process, oops!), and although it needs another coat I think it will do for now.
I used Cuprinol Garden Shades in Pale Jasmine, and considering the furniture was a dark brown to start with, it doesn’t look to bad!
I’ve started re-organising N’s room and she’s been sent this fantastic new cushion
We are massive Roald Dahl fans and are actually reading Matilda together at bedtime at the moment. Needless to say that N was very happy with this addition to her bedroom.
You too can get your hands on a cushion like this, just enter below!
and lastly..
It’s been such a busy week for me, with the girls finishing school and nursery, and me finishing paid blog work and managing the Little and Fierce summer sale. I’m not too sure how I’m going to juggle it all over the next 5 weeks! I’m sure I’ll figure it out though.
Don’t forget that until midnight on Sunday I’ve got an across the store 20% discount code for you. Just type in SUMMERKIDS when you get to the Little and Fierce checkout.
Have a lovely weekend!
